Me as your therapist
Started working world early, moved countries, changed jobs, lost identity, friendships, people. I think that to be young person in this world has never been that difficult as it is now. We live in boomerang/yoyo culture where demands are high, there is no reasurance of security in our choices and focus is extreme on self actualisation but our basic needs are often ignored. I decided to create betterthings.space to help young people slow down and treat their life in less anxious way. I understand it is scary to feel always behind, compare yourself with your peers, have that FOMO feeling all the time. It is tiring and lonely. I want to hold space, where you can relax, get back to basics and move forward by focusing at one thing at the time.
It is important that in our sessions I meet you exactly where you are. It is okay to have messiness and chaos in your room and your look. We are making space and time only for you, I want it to be your special space where we share a cuppa and creating a plan together to make things a bit better than they are now. My approach is person centered, relevant and realistic and most importantly, less lonely.
My Qualifications
I hold a First Class degree in Childhood Studies (BSc) and a Level 5 qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy.

I am continuing to develop my practice and plan to begin further counselling training this June.

My Approach
Me as a human being
A big part of my current hobbies is working on being more consistent and less ashamed of the things I’m not very good at. On Mondays, I attend painting sessions with two women I met on a beginners’ course. We meet at one of their homes and mostly laugh at how “bad” our paintings are, but it’s honestly one of the most enjoyable things I do.
I love walking. Some people might find it boring without a goal or destination, but I really enjoy it. I even did the Camino Inglés, where I walked for five days just to get a certificate, which makes me laugh a bit now. I also love dog watching, and I’ve started getting into puzzles and Lego.
I tend to forget to drink water, I enjoy binge-watching silly shows or American crime documentaries, and I’m slightly obsessed with white chocolate. I love joining random meetups and offline activity groups, and I recently bought an app blocker to help me spend less time on social media.
Originally from Lithuania, I’ve been living in the UK for the past 8 years. I also volunteer with Womenkind charity and enjoy talking with plants. I sound like an old lady, but to make a point, I am only human.
